My name is Shawn Price, I went to Normanhurst Boys High Selective last year and have just completed my HSC. I achieved an Atar of 98.95, and got band 6s for Adv English, Extension 1 and 2 Maths, and Chemistry. I also got an 89 for physics, just missing out on band 6 and all rounders by one mark.
I am offering private Chemistry tuition one on one, at most libraries such as Horsnby, Epping, Eastwood etc. I was ranked second in chemistry in year 11, and first in year 12 and will teach both prelim and HSC chem. I received a mark of 95 for chemistry, (state ranking was ~97).
Chemistry was definitely my favourite subject at school in year 11/12 and is a reason why I will be taking up High Chemistry Classes at university for my degree (Chemical Engineering). I would be charging $30 an hour, or $50 for two hours back to back.
Currently, I am employed at Talent 100 (HSC tutoring college) as a teacher, which will give me experience and continued training in teaching students of the HSC. This, in addition to my continued study of chemistry in university is what makes me believe that I would be a great choice as a chemistry tutor!
