I'd recommend looking at three of Mill's works and just collecting some key quotes that are relevant to the course. The three I looked at last year were:
* On Liberty
* Utilitarianism (great if another one of your texts is
North and South)
* The Subjection of Women
And I collected a few good quotes from each to memorise, for example:
“But reflecting persons perceived that when society is itself the tyrant – society collectively, over the separate individuals who compose it.” (On Liberty)
“In the case of women, each individual of the subject – class is in a chronic state of bribery and intimidation combined.” (The Subjection of Women)
