well isnt there actually any tutors that do one on one

i mean im looking for ones that are smart that can pinpoint wat im not understanding and ones that get straight to point of wat to do

i've tutored someone in english before...she was an esl student tho, but i might be able to help you? im no good at maths sorry but i came 7th outta 83 people in english this year for yr 12.

There ARE some tuition companies which offer one-on-one tutoring (my sister used to work for one), but they tend to be kinda pricey. The tutors are generally school leavers anyway, so you'll get the same sort of help from them that you will from any of us, anyway :)

Venture into the #hsc IRC channel if you want (i think it's irc://au.austnet.org/hsc/), 'cuz we're generally bored enough to give you some help. If someone seems to know what they're talking about, pm them rather than talking in the chan, that's kinda one-on-one :p

I am not a 'tutorer', nor have I ever been tutored. But I'll be glad to help with either maths or english.

although I agree with the above - good help can always be obtained on this forum.

That's true. Some of the people that can (and will) help don't visit the 2u forums. I'd say to the 3u becuase it's shared by all the extension students. :p
One-on-one is a bit expensive for my tastes.

i live around liverpool
