hey everyone - i need some help
in the 2004 hsc core 1 (15 mark question) it asked to apply CVD to the ottawa charter and the social justice principals
at school, we were asked to do a similar question though in regards to injury
some one help me with it please - im having great difficulty trying to answer it and integrate the two

ah i remember this question! basically you really need to sit down and think about how each area in regard to cvd (thats wat is was for us) can be directed towards eliminating or reducing inequity.
For example, creating supportive environments:
- no smoking on manly beach
this is an example of social justice as it provides a place for Socioeconomioally disadvantaged people to exercise which reduces their risk of cvd through both exercise and passive smoking - both of which are risk factors for cvd.

the advantage that you have is time. the question is a lot less challenging when u have time to sit down and think about it. it was hard for us because we (HSC 2004 ppl) had to come up with it in a short amount of time under a huge amount of pressure.
