Hi everybody,

I received Economics Assessment Task Notice with all outcomes that are being assessed. Some of this letters (e.g. H1) say useless stuff like"demonstrates understanding of economic terms, concepts etc." However other letters (H3) say important things like"explains the role of markets within the global economy".

So would it be better just to answer those H2-7 points rather than summarising 2 chapters??

Thanks in advance

P.S.(sorry if i dont make sense but i just dont want to waste time going over THE GLOBAL ECONOMY and AUSTRALIA'S PLACE IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY)

its a bit hard to study just from the outcomes because they are so general - 'demonstrates an understanding of economic terms, concepts and relationships' or sumthing like that

if u dont hav much time to study then look at the 'students learn to:' part in the syllabus and go through some of those....hopefully that might???

MinAi :It is a Half-yearly exam which contains 30 multiple choice q's, 4 short answer sections and 1 essay.

AGB:i 100% agree with you but as i said before some dots points say"explains the role of markets within the global economy". which seems to me as pretty specific.

The reason i am curious about this H1-H11 stuff is because that's what the markers will assess me on, so i think it makes sense to concentrate on those points. What do you think?

Thanks in advance

P.S Should i just stop bitching and answer the dot points for those two chapters????

these outcomes apply to all 4 topics (some of them anyway) so sure some of them may be appropriate to focus on....however when u r studyin make sure that u r thinking of the outcome in the context of that topic.......also if u focused on all of the students learn to dot points, you will have covered all of the outcomes for that topic. if u learn all of those learn to dot points then u wont have a problem fulfilling any of the requirements of each outcome

if u look at it another way.......completing the content part of the syllabus will allow u to complete all of the students learn to dot points, in turn giving u the competency complete all of the outcomes

sorry, yeah I meant wat u guys said...
its a good idea to start making notes on the syllabus as u go (notes in relation to the dot points), because remember, if u have them covered, u'll b fine, as the BoS cannot ask questions outside the syllabus - and also sometimes they can ask questions that are DIRECTLY quoted from the syllabus
