outline the impact on the evolution of plants and animals of:

-changes in physical conditions in the environment

-changes in chemical conditions in the environment

-competition for resources

also this one if anyone knows it.
explain how darwin/wallace's theory of evolution by natural selection and isolation accounts for divergent evolution and convergent evolution.

thnx.

N/A
physical change:

imagine in the population now, temperature suddenly increase by 10C... by darwin wallace theory, those organisms that can adapt to higher temperature will survive

chemical change:

introduction of insect spray for eg, will accomodate those insects which has features resistant to spray... and more contemporary issue: TB virus, which has a mutation which cause it to be highly resistant to vaccine, but at the same time lowers its spreadability. if the usage of vaccine is to be popularised, then it would favour the domination of this particular feature.

competition

- those who are better at gaining food/water/shelter are more likely to survive and pass down their characteristics which allow them to do that to their offsprings...
