Outlook problem... (1 Viewer)

i am still using outlook [too lazy to migrate to another app] and now it keeps informing me of a prgram wanting access to my email addresses wiht a prompt asking wither yes or no. obviously i selected no but does anyone know how to get this gone?

From memory this is a security feature of Outlook SP1/SP2. Try Google for a patch that turns the feature off.

what would b ethe search terms though? i dunno what to look for.
i didnt install any service packs..i let it roam free. is that/it bad/worse now???? help

Terms like "outlook", "address book", "access" and "prompt" are promising. Can't help you anymore since I don't even know what version of Outlook you use.

sorry i havent been able to reply, but busy with uni stuff.
ive posted the dialog box only and in monochrome because its smaller and bos allows it.
i am using MS outlook 2003, part of the ms office edition.

it wont go away, how so you find out what is trying to access it?
ive been getting a Win IME in task manager but i dont know where its come from?

just to let you guys know, ive fixed the problem....and its with your help that i could fix the problem.
the problem was a virus, and though i found out what virus it was i still dont know how i got it, since i delete any strange emails and stuff. it was a w32.wullik.b@mm worm. luckily i didnt answer yes to the dialog. plus the worms payload didnt have a high damage rate.
all is fixed now with anti virus programs.
