Hi all,

Currently in Year 11 and doing extension math. When doing parametric equations, is it better to derive the equations or try to memorise them?

Thanks in advance.

It is not a matter of which is better - you are not permitted to write them down without proof. The only exception is the chord of contact formula (or of course if they ask a multiple choice question on the topic).

And ..... in Australia we do maths.

Deriving but after doing numerous questions, you end up remembering them anyways

And I haven't worn a hired suit for 26 years.
And I'm pretty sure I can't remember how to do up a tie.

Now how i imagine you :
You're bald, have a beer gut and wear sneakers and trackies to school ahaha
