For conics, we can prove for example: prove the distance PS + PS' = 2a.

The answer is proven using cartesian or parametrics. Doesthis mean that both can be used when approaching a conics question? wwhich is easier? thnx in adv.


When we did fitzpatric at school, i was stuck completely, as the answers just used cartesian and i didnt know how to use either!

anyways at least now i m not thaaaaaat bad!!

umm just use the definition PS/Pd = e ... 4 liner

normally its cartesian vs euclidean... or not?

or is it parametric vs implicit? you know...
