What a God damn waste of time. Don't you just love teachers telling you what you already know? And their contradictory comments?
"Don't make it your life"
"Make it your number one focus"
"Your really need to do practice essays" (duh!)
"effort"
"organization"
A total waste of an hour that I could've spent at home writing exam notes...

How were yours?

Haha, I hated them. My mother is a teacher so thanks to her connections she'd always know about them. And about 99.9% of the time we'd leave the school screaming at each other.

It wasn't pleasant.

Dad went to one once and said it was a pointless waste of time. He hasn't been since. No prompting from me.

they are pointless as far as i can see (unless ur the the hanging off the fans rowdy type of kid of course who needs to settle down!)

my dad went to my maths and science one in yr 7 and they were meant to lastf or at least 7 minutes each...here was the maths one:
teacher: well, she does her hw and is always polite and well mannered
dad: well, thats good to hear
teacher: so....*awkward silence*
officially lasted about 34 seconds
i was just cringing to get the hell out of there...

The only one my mum ever went to was in Year 12, where she only went to see one teacher but ended up talking to them all, but I was there so it was just a big gossip session....it was pretty good actually!

My mum normally goes but its just a waste of time. Basically repeats what is on the report.

Mine were last week... my Textiles teacher talked to my mum for half an hour cause she only had 8 of us to see spread over 4 hours :D My Maths teacher was fine, and English was apparently disappointing, after saying he couldn't say anything bad about me, he talked about our upcoming assessment.

The only thing that was heard in most of the interviews was my teacher's all hoping that Textiles doesn't count in my UAI :p
