I recenty discovered that among my friends there's a pretty high proportion of parents with a racing background.

eg
My dad raced a Triumph TR-4 in his youth and did some work as a race engineer
Friend A's dad raced sprintcars
Friend B's dad rallied with his wife as navigator

Who else on heres parents/grandparents have a racing background?

Grandfather used to do club rallys. Uncle is a track junkie in his GT-R. Other uncle races Aussie Racing cars. Father loves his powerful cars. I think there's more to the story, but meh.. :p

My uncle used to be on the aussie stock cars team, but he got kicked off because he was driving an FJ still when they had the morris minor 1000s going and still winning, dad has done a little bit of rally type driving, thats basically it, I do "rally" (in the simplest sense of the word) when we go to our holiday place down the south coast, its awesome to be flying along back tracks with massive gullys right beside the road and stuff!
