Parking System on the Streets

I was just wondering, how does the parking system on the streets work? Like you know how there are signs saying "2P" meaning you are limited park there for 2 hours, right? Would it be okay if one and a half hours after you park the car in one spot, and then move your car to the opposite street? Does that work?

Back on topic, once I talked to one of those parking infringement officers.... and asked him if it's a 2hour parking limit, and I go and buy another ticket after 2 hours, is that ok? And he said no because it's still limited to 2 hours. U'd have to move ur car and everything; but the problem is... since they mark ur tyres and take photos, they could very well mistake ur car as being unmoved but just with a new ticket >_>

What a load of shit, they'd have to write the time of the offence on your fine and you'd have a ticket covering you until that time, so I'm fairly sure you'd be able to defend it....

They can book people if you just move your car accross the street now...you have to move away and park in another "block" of road...

Is there any website where I can get information on parking fines and stuff?
