the best book in the world if your having trouble - and still want an original interpretation of Lear that isn't aout of a study guide, is the sparknotes version of the text. it has a plain english "interpretation" on one page and the same shakesperian text on the other. I've found it really helpful cause you can still come up with ideas about the text and how its written etc... but you have the plain english for when you need to do assessments or don't quite understand it.rhapsody_bri said:i found that so many people use study guides that you are better off without them, so you will have original ideas and interpretations.
however, if they help you to understand the basic gist of the text/language then i guess thats different.
