i doubt many have read it

but who has?

i thought it was fantastic, i am using it for imaginative journeys eng adv
its basically the story of this guy whois sense of smeel outwieghs his other 4 sense hugely. For example he can just cook food in the middle of the night because he can smell was 50g of flour is.

its pretty cool and has an unexpected ending

one of my favourite books... read it 8 or 9 times over the years. pity suskinds other books are so average - but whatever

for any nirvana fans out there, scentless apprentice on in utero was written about this book, it was also one of kurt kobains favourites.

Yes a great book. Read it ages ago, this thread might actually inspire me to read it again.

ive read perfume but how does it apply to imaginative journeys

if u define an imaginative journey as a recollection of preconceived emperical notions goverened by the fluid parametres of linguisitics, then perfume is a perfect example which highlights an emperical area of the mind which a text taps into, in an effort to draw nuance out of discourse.
