Hey guys,

I need help with this question

A die fits perfectly into a cubical box. How many ways are there of putting the die into the box?

The answer is 24. I don't know how to get the answer

Help please.

The are 6 faces you can go in first with, followed by 4 different rotations of the cube. 6 times 4 = 24

There are 6 ways to put the dice face down into the box, either the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 touches the bottom.
For each time we do this, there are 4 different orientations that can be done via rotating.

Therefore, 6*4=24
