Hey I'm starting the history and memory elective for Module C in my class. We're studying the Fiftieth Gate by Mark Baker and we need to find two related texts for an assignment.
I was just wondering whether a book on Phar Lap and his racing career and impact on Australians during the Great Depression would work as an appropriate text? The text doesn't have to relate to the Fiftieth Gate at all
here's the book I was thinking about choosing: Phar Lap by It has photos, memorabilia and newspaper articles included in the story as well. I just want to chose a text and topic that I'm passionate about
Any idea?
And also, as another text I was thinking of doing the mini series that was on TV a little while back. It was called 'The Pacific', about the war. I haven't watched it in ages so I can't really remember much but I think it could work.
