My area of study is physical journey and in the essay i understand i am to comment on the physical, emotional and intellectual advances the journey has on the traveller

though how should i backup these statements with themes, quotes, film techniques etc.

The intro is all fine:

Intro - thesis statement (definition of a journey)
- introduce texts chronologically

just in the following paragraphs should I have one text per paragraph and outline the physical, emotional and intellectual advances in each and then introduce new texts due to their idea of whether physical journey's and their pros justify the journey and introduce texts with "similarly in..."

then my structure is

1) Intro
2) Texts for
3) Texts against

and in parts 2 and 3 suggest whether the journey is beneficial suggesting the advancements to the persons and then backing them up

i just think my essay may be too large.. if I mention how the traveller expands physically, emotionally and intellectually and write backup (techniques etc) to supplement them

hmm.. any comments? or do you have no idea what I am talking about ? i guess i can rephrase :)
