I just got back my eng assessment. On it I had to write an essay on physical journeys in a text. I discussed about how the journey in the text changed the characters and how the obstacles have made them stronger. I got the feedback "Need to focus more on physical journeys", what do they expect me to write then? About people walking around? I'm sure that's not it... plz provide me with an outline of wat one should write when discussing physical journeys...
The second negative feedback i've received is "a little too loose". Any hints on how to make an essay less "loose"? Thanks, i'd ask my teacher but she's been known to be not that great... :(

perhaps you could focus on the aspects of the journey. that is, elements such as the catalyst, the assumptions, the obstacles, the challenges.... and then with each of these, you could then intwine your argument that it was these things that made the characters stronger/change....
hope i've helped! =)

hmm, ive had the same problem! teacher keeps marking that i need to refer to 'physical journeys' but like i believe that is what ive been doing (at least thats what i thought) so all i can suggestion from my mistakes, is that whenever you write the word journeys, put the word physical infront of it, and refer to like obsticals that occur on behalf on the actions which a person does, e.g. like challenges and obstacles , and like physically moving etc.. im not sure, but like the previous post, ask your teacher! :)

Well i guess also if u haven't alredy done so, that ur techniques from the text must be related to the physical journey too...
