I'm just starting out the first term of year 12 and honestly have had a really bad year in terms of my Physics, (we barely had a teacher through prelims, got one for about 9 weeks before the year 11 final), my mark was about 65, top of class. Now we've just finished our Physics exam this term and I wouldn't think I got more than 70 per cent. My marks in my others subjects are; engineering 93, chemistry 94, english 100, math 2U 93, math 3U 76, modern history 93. I'm now doing 4U math and find it not too hard. I was just wondering if there is any point to finishing off this physics course because I feel like there is no hope in getting a good mark for my ATAR. Also, I want to do mechanical or aero engineering at University, but it seems most of the rest of the Physics course is irrelevant to this degree, (astronomy, standard model etc). 4U math sounds more relevant to univerisity Physics anyway. So should I drop this subject and focus on others or ride it out? (I don't like the teacher or the class). Thx
