HiHi, anyone can tell me what's the difference between the course
"B Applied Science (Physiotherapy)" at U Syd.
and "B Physiotherapy" at Newcastle Uni??
Why is the newcastle one UAI cut-off way higher den da U Syd one?

Does the "Applied Science" make it not as good or what lol.
Thanks!

USyd basically calls any other med related course different from Medicine (Surgery) as applied sciences. I think they do this to indicate that those courses will be studied at the Cumberland Campus rather than the big ass one 2km away from CBD (Darlington?).

It comes down to what u want to call it really.

Newcastle is better?

Look at the course descriptions and find out for yourself. They may well be the same. Don't forget that sometimes UAI is controlled by supply & demand.

yeh, you have to do it over in auburn (i think). cumberland campus? i dunno but def. not on the camperdown (city) campus.

doesn't matter where you do physio. you get the same jobin the end. Look into the course descriptions and see which one you'll enjoy the most

Cumberland campus is only for the applied health science faculty. Its 15km away from CBD. Not very spectacular if your looking for entertainment. The main campus kicks ass by a long shot.

Its all the same, some uni's just use different names.
For example, of the 4 NSW uni's that offer OT, names include:

B Occupational Therapy (Newcastle)
B App Sci (Occupational Therapy) (USYD, UWS)
B Health Sci (Occupational Therapy) (CSU)

However, it is all the one course.
