[x] Family (dad's cousin's daughter, I think)
[ ] Friend
[ ] Colleague
[ ] Patient
[ ] Other, please state: ___________

4. How would you define the term Albinism?
The noun of Albino, meaning a person or animal has some sort of abnormality in their pigmentation

5. Which of the following do you believe people with Albinism have: (you can tick more than one)
[ ] Are completely blind
[ ] Can’t go in the sun at all
[ ] Their eyes shake
[ ] Are deaf
[ ] Cannot have babies
[ ] Are brain damaged
[x] Have red eyes
[x] Have white hair and skin
[ ] Are contagious

[ ] Film/TV
[ ] Newspapers/Magazines
[ ] Friends
[ ] Family
[x] School/Uni (we did a little bit about in genetics)
[ ] Other, please state: _______________

7. Would you be interested in learning more about Albinism?
No
Why? / Why not?
Interesting as it probably is, I don't really have all that much interest in what causes it etc, which is what my further learning would be

If you saw/met a person with Albinism in public how would you react? (you can tick more than one)
[ ] Stare from a distance
[ ] Shout rude comments at them
[ ] Walk up to them and touch/look at them
[ ] Ask lots of questions
[ ] Not associate with them because of their Albinism
[ ] Whisper about them behind their back
[x] Ignore them
[ ] Other, please state: _______________
Why would you act this way?
They're exactly the same as anyone else...and I feel their pain. It would seem my skin missed the memo that I'm not albino.

9. ‘People with Albinism cannot integrate into normal society’ (Please circle)
Disagree Agree
2
Why do you think this way?
There's nothing much to stop them, except for people's prejudices, although they do have to be really careful about going out in the sun, which could make social gatherings somewhat difficult

10. ‘Society rejects people with Albinism’
Disagree Agree
2
Why do you think this way?
I don't think I've ever actually heard of a case of someone being rejected because of their Albinism, but I imagine it probably happens.

11. Do you think more education on the topic of Albinism would help you/others become more accepting towards people with Albinism?
Yes
Why? Why not?
I would just about guarentee that there are people who think it's contagious, and therefore won't go near Albino people. If they were better educated, it wouldn't be a problem.
