Hey guys! I've been trying to formulate a PIP question that crossovers with my IRP so I can use the same quantitative and qualitative data. This is my topic for my IRP:

"Can video games lead to a decrease in the emotional and social well-being of adolescents?"

I've been having trouble thinking of a suitable PIP question and also a cross cultural comparison to do. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks guys.

I would be somewhat cautious of using the same or similar topic across two majors, probably best to ask your teacher if you haven't already.
If you've already asked and it's all good, then I think the easiest way to change your IRP topic into a PIP question is to integrate course concepts. For example, "How do video games impact an adolescent's identity?" or "What impact do video games have on an adolescent's values/beliefs/socialisation?"
As for a cross-cultural, it's literally any perspective other than your own - you could compare males to females, or potentially research other cultures where gaming is more/less prevalent than in Australia.
Best of luck :)

Thank you so much! I appreciate your response. I didn't think about the integrating concepts into my topic idea, it now makes a bit more sense. And thank you for explaining the cross-cultural comparison a bit more, I thought the cross-cultural comparison was the only time, gender, etc so that makes a bit more sense. Thank you!
