If Plan A (getting into University then into a career from that) fails, I need to find a job that lets me utilize my knowledge from Chemistry and Physics, that is particularly in the science industry requiring at least Year 12 qualifications next year.

(Because I don't want to study Calculus or Henry Lawson's Short Stories for nothing as well)

You wont get much of a career in Science with just HSC Chem and Phys, other than teaching HSC CHem and Physics. Youll need a Bachelor's degree.

My plan A was Uni, etc....

Got tired of the bullshit after year 12.. 18 months on waorking in retail, enjoying it getting paid relatively well *read same as a teacher grad with half the time*

plan Bs are not soo bad, now I am not going to uni (in the current future) and my boss want to help me get into a well paid stable position with lots of scope for earning within the next 18 months, just when all my friends will be coming into average paying jobs with huge hecs debts....

Talk to someone at your school who can help, if you do want science though you probably need uni, where as me doing a business degree would have just contributed to the national debt

if you want a career in science you're probably gonna need a degree or some sort of tertiary qualification...i can't think of any science-based profession off the top of my head that would only need HSC sciences.

They always need volunteers for testing.

I'm not sure you could do that without a degree...

Ever thought of teaching? Become a science teacher I think, although you will need a Bsci/Dip Ed or B science edu for that (not exactly sure), the cutoff isn't exceptionally high (if that's what youre worried about). You could also do a science degree of some sort and then work with researchers when you leave in your chosen field, or watever one comes up anyway...
