playing avi on wmp (1 Viewer)

i am trying to play an avi file using wmp and the video is "jittery", ie- not smooth.

do i need to install some kind of codec?

could be because you have a slow computer?
or it could be that the actual video is slow
or you forgot to install video drivers

there are soooooo many possibilities

can you give us more information on the video?

sorry, was in a bit of rush last night, i wanted to watch the movie. so i just posted it haphazardly.

the problem isnt the computer, i played it on a divx playa later that night. so yeh the video works fine.
other mpg and stuf works fine.

next thing i'm going to install the divx codec pack that comes with k-lite. see if that works

Try the newest DivX codec if thats what you're using. Sometimes DivX does have problems playing files encoded in newer versions.
