read this great article on play station 3

http://stuffo.howstuffworks.com/ps-three.htm

The biggest news about the PS3 is that it will use a revolutionary new chip, code named Cell..............Abstracts from the 2005 ISSCC show claim the Cell processor could run at a muscular 4.6GHz. What this all amounts to is a game console with super computer-like performance.

revealed that there may be two versions of the PS3 available at launch. ...........the difference would be in functionality and price point. It looks like there may be one stripped-down gaming machine and one that functions more as a "home server."

Um, that article consisted of a few vague facts padded out with 2 pages of pure speculation. A very poor effort. I give it a 1/10.

This is specifically about the cell processor technology that will be used in the PS3. This was interpreted directly from the patent itself so it will be pretty accurate. It is a very interesting read.

PS Before anyone else says it; OMG OLD. Cause, well, it is.
