I'm in year 11 right now, my year 12 course starts next term for english. It the first term do we start with the AoS, journeys, then move thorugh each module i.e. A, B, C??. What are the set limits on each text we do within a term?

It depends on your school, they're all different.
We started with AOS, then did modules C, A and then B.
There isn't a set order.
And there's a whole lot of texts to choose from. Your teachers will probably decide for you.

AOS - Physical, Inner, Personal and Imaginative Journeys.

Module A - Comparative Study of Text and Context - Transformations or In the Wild, texts include Bladerunner and Brave New World; Emma and Clueless; and The Pardoner's Tale and A Simple Plan.

Module B
- Critical Study of Texts, texts include King Lear; Gwen Harwood poems; Yeats poems; and In the Skin of a Lion.

Module C - Representation and Truth, texts include Frontline.

Module C also includes Birthday Letters and Antony and Cleopatra prescribed texts.

Although texts may change for next year... also, not all schools wil spend a term per module - it's somewhat flexible according to teacher/students/school/module. You hear horror stories about modules being only given a few weeks to be covered - and this does happen sometimes :(

My school for example finished the course a whole term ago. Leaving about 1.5 terms in which to study....

Our order was Module A, C, B, then finished with AOS (spent about 5 weeks each module)

That allowed us to have our Half yearlies in a Paper 2 format... (3 essays / 2 hours)

We started with AoS, then did Modules C, B and A, respectively. Module C was the worst. :(

We did AOS, then modules A, B, and C. Fairly straight forward. But i do standard. So our texts are different to the ones mentioned above.

The AoS topics reamin the same for 3 years. So in 2007, it should be changing.
