I have two questions due on Tuesday but I'm not very familiar with "The Tempest" yet. I've rad through it once and I have two questions to answer.
1- Does Prospero do anything selfless in the play, what does this reveal about him?
2- Prospero's humanity is questioned by Ariel as he argues that mercy and tenderness are inherently part of being human. How does the play encourage us to discover ideas about retribution and compassion?
Please help, all I need are some simple, one sentence arguments and some quotes. I've looked all over the internet and i've found nothing.
