I was just wondering what the site's policy is on people who are banned, and then join under another account.

Do you also ban the new account?

It depends on the reason for which they were banned.

What's the point of asking to be banned? (Other than to prevent other people using the account on BoS and posting rubbish and getting banned anyway).
I think one of the reasons was that the account user wanted to stay right away from BoS during their HSC course. The site was very distracting. :p

Yes they can be unbanned... what I gather from flyin anyway.

yes, users can be banned if they literally ask for it :p eg, winston, mack.
they can ask to be unbanned at any time, we'll welcome them back with open arms

however if a user is banned because of their behaviour on bos, they can also be unbanned if they appeal to a mod/admin explaining why they deserved to be unbanned :p

Oh yeah..and I don't think anyone can really stop u from rejoining under another username. Unless you have a set IP?

The problem with IP ban though is that it doesn't work for users on dial-up, hence the ban often placed on usernames (eg. aj)

Most ADSL plans have a dynamic IP as well so banning the IP wouldn't work. I'mnot sure about cable.

Theres no need to get technical about how they are banned or what nickname or what IP addresses they have...just know that they will get banned :uhhuh:
