does anyone have a portable dvd player? or you technology people, what do you think of them?
im getting one for xmas, so im just wondering what people think of them, what their like, etc.

i saw them advertised, could be good for long trips, i don't know wherever else. it's probably also worth finding out what power they run off.

portable dvd player? arent the normal dvd players portable?...i mean you can pick it up without too much hassle.

or do you mean small ones like a cd player, that you have can plug into a 'portable' tv?

i cant really think of any real advantage for these...

they look like a laptop, they have a dvd player, controls and a tiny screen all built into one

yeah it's a tv screen with dvd player in the bottom, so you can watch it in the car etc. (provided they run off batteries)

Pansonic's DVD-LX9
9" Widescreen LCD


or Samsung's DVD-L200
10" LCD


...basically a laptop and DVD-ROM drive that can't do anything else. :p

There are plenty of other models, I just wanted to find some pictures to show you.

Sony make very good (and expensive) portable DVD players, too. :)
