because of the many threads made on this topic (reading the FAQ helps both you and me
)...
if your post count isn't changing, chances are you've been posting in non-school (otherwise known as NS), or schoolies.
posts in these forums do not go towards your post count.
to see your <b>total post count</b>, including NS posts,
- view your profile (eg http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/member.php?u=1)
- find all posts by *insert your username here*
- near the top right, it'll say "Showing results 1 to 25 of 1268" (or however many you have posted)
NB: this currently does not work if your total post count is > 10,000
