If a thread of yours gets deleted, or merged, won't your post count go down by one? (assuming your only post in that thread was the thread-starter). And if your thread gets closed, will the same thing happen (because it's still there by itself, just not functioning?)?

if the thread gets deleted, ur post count goes down im pretty sure coz that happened to me, and if the thread gets closed, ur post count is still the same i think (coz wen u look at ppls posts they still hav links to closed threads)

If a thread is deleted, you post count goes down. If it is closed, nothing changes. If it is moved to an invisible forum, I'm not sure. If it is a post in Non-School, nothing will happen, as that post never counted in the first place. Logically, if a thread is moved to NS, your post count will decrease.

You needn't worry, though. Your postcount means squat.

For example, the non-school forum is invisible to those not logged in. I'm inclined to think that posts in such forums would in fact count.

Theres no relation between visible/invisible forums and post count.

Post counts in NS were made void long before the forum was made invisible.
