what are your favourite bands with elements of post hardcore to their music?
and why

personaly ill say

alexisonfire...
funeral for a friend...
underoath...
irrelvant...
from autumn to ashes...

all for their energy, be it onstage or album
i think its characteristic of this loose genre

well they aint as hardcore as the band u mentioned, but they are still pretty hard, but they have solo's in there songs, quite good ones actually. i feel thats what makes the difference with that band to others..

what's the difference between post hardcore and hardcore? it confuses me. "this band isn't hardcore, it's posthardxcorexcoreemoxpostemoscreamohardxcore!! get it right!!"

im loathe to call sparta post hard core but they do have elements...

alexisonfire embody phc for me

and rapeman. all three of albini's bands are the best the genre has to offer.

+ nomeansno, the jesus lizard, scratch acid, drive like jehu, the nation of ulysses, unwound... and husker du and the minutemen, if they count.
