There are seven different types of post sentencing
1- security classifications=this is whether they are a high or minimal security risk.
2- protective custody= prisoners who need protection, usually because of their race
3- parole= releasing offenders before their release date providing they follow certain conditions. They also have to complete 2/3 of there sentence.
4- remissions and licenses= remissions-reduction of sentence for good behaviour, license= prisoners serving life on release
5-pre release schemes= day release, work release
6- criminal records= person can have record wiped after ten years of good behaviour
7- victims rights= victim has the right to compensation
