posts - 10char limit (1 Viewer)

i understand the 10 char limit- kind of, but can i ask that a limit be placed on really long posts

i dont know how mnay characters this would be, but 10 - (less than a page)

im so sick of long posts that rant on or are copy and pasted- you should be able to make a post that doesnt take up an entire page

Yeah, I know the issue you're talking about can be quite annoying .. especially when you realise you have to scroll through screens of rubbish to get to the next post.

However for subject-related posts it's sometimes good to have a really long post which sums everything up, rather than several threads which may go off topic. (I'm thinking of my English threads in particular.. I would hate to split them up).

If you're having trouble with the normal vBulletin style of posting (ie. typical forum style), try changing it in your cPanel to a hybrid or threaded style.

this is more a reaction to the 10 charcater limit and then seeing those kind of copy and paste posts

I agree, 10 char limit is just as annoying I'm happy to delete spam copy and paste posts if they're reported as such, by the way.. (it counts as spam if it's OT - NCaP is different if it's sourced)

The rollover can be achieved using a spoiler tag [ spoiler ] and [/ spoiler ]
