Can someone give me an idea of what type of experiments you do in a pyschology degree? Is it, like, talking to people and conducting surveys, or is it like test tubes and bunsne burners etc?

You won't be touching a bunsen burner or test tubes.

You will be doing some hypnosis, some surveying, looking at whether this line is longer than that line (tricks with the perception) etc etc. Many psychology courses have Tut and not Labs. You will be doing your "experiments" in Tuts.
