Hey guys,

I have a prac assessment task 2nd wk back and I'm just very worried about it bcos I didn't pass the prac exam in the prelin .. ahhrr .. anyway .. umm .. it will be a combination of a prac and sit down theory exam on space and mtrs&grts .. the teacher said one will be desginated to each topic ..

anyways .. i juss need someone to give me a rundown of what a prac. looks like and what teachers are essentially looking for .. and guesses as to what it might be (it can be from any of the 2 topics) ..

if you go through your syllabus you'll find on the side:
"STUDENTS:"

You'll have three in the first section, on in induction and one in transformers I think from memory.

First three are:
-Demonstrate that a current carrying wire has a motor effect
-Demonstrate the Motor Effect
-Demonstrate ampere's law.

Then
-Demonstrate Faraday's method of induction
-Do the same except vary the distance, strenth of magnet and relative speed

Then for transformers:
-You have to build a working transformers.
