Unless you know the people you're tutoring, it's highly unlikely that you would get a job as a tutor before university. I've worked as a tutor for five years, and have worked as Assistant Manager at a tutoring centre for two of those five years. I know that it would be highly unlikely that I would hire a teenager to work for us, and I think other centres would be the same. If you really want to tutor, your best bet would be to place flyers in local libraries, or create a free gumtree ad. But I don't think you'd be able to charge more than $15/hr.
