When you reach year 12 in a few weeks, trust me, you don't feel that much different :p

Teachers maybe just treat you a little bit smarter :p

I have my english one on thursday, and then my maths one first day back next term. Does english prelim matter to your HSC?

Nothing you do in the Preliminary Course counts towards your HSC.

So the preliminary was just as pointless as the school certificate ?

It helps you get a feel of what the HSC course will feel like.

Because if you can perform well in year 11 and apply the same studying techniques you can do very well in year 12.

Year 11 is sort of like a warm up year. :)

I dont reckon it is - i mean, ur prelim marks mean nothing in most cases... but then, with something like maths, if you fail prelim, i dun reckon you could do well int he hsc. I guess that unless ur classes are scaled, the markes are pretty pointless.

Tho, i've heard, some unis and jobs ask for your yr11 reports when you apply... so i guess whether or not it matters depends on what u want to do in life.

And yes as iyamahobbit said, Maths is the only subject i -think- that requires preliminary knowledge.

I failed preliminary, I'm ripping the HSC :)

It's a good wake up call.
