can someone please give me an example of where theta/360x2xnx6400(cos lattitude) is used. thanks

City A is (34°N,5°E)
City B is (12°S,5°E)
Find the distance between A and B.

Angle between A and B = 34 + 12 = 46°.

Distance = theta/3600 x 2π x 6400
= 46/360 x 2π x 6400
= 5138.249318
= 5138 km


Not sure where you're getting "(cos latitude)" from. Whatever it is, you won't need it.

i think its just for finding radius of small circle i should of made my notes alot clearer at the start of this course. Thanks so much for your help PC!!
