I was just wondering if there would be a problem with profanity in the PIP.
Not excessive at all. I believe it's needed and fitting. My PIP topic is whether or not political expression should have a place in music. My teacher's getting iffy about it. In my introduction:
"As I go through my mp3 player I notice every second song contains some kind of political meaning. ‘You look so tired, so unhappy. Bring down the government, they don’t, they don’t speak for us’ or ‘John Howard is a filthy ****, I know he got elected but, he’s no leader of mine, he’s a national shame, leading our country down the drain’ rings through my ears."
I later go onto discuss whether or not it's appropriate to refer to a nations' leader in such a profane way.
Opinions, anyone?
