program to capture dvd shots (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Does anyone know of a FREE program that can capture screen shots from a dvd? If so what is the name and where can I download it?

I don't have a commercial interest - I just want to have a few shots from my movies - as wallpaper on my computer

Dont know if you mean movies you buy in store, or your own movies...but i used Video2Photo to extract frames from MPEG movies of my digital camera.

Windows Media Player also have the screenshot ability, just press Ctrl+I and you pick the file format and place.

i neve knew windows media could do that, it will come in handy, i always used to run the clip in full screen, hit 'print screen' and open up in the most perstigious program, microsoft paint...success
