Does anyone here know c++? How long would it take for someone with experience programming python to learn c++?

You'll need to be more specific about what you want to learn in C++. You could learn the basics in a day or two, how to write some random program in a month, become an experienced programmer after a few years, etc.

Also, everyone learns at different rates.

I hope you didn't bump your thread after 7 minutes.

Hoping to start learning it as well in the next few days, but yeh it depends how proficient you want to be at it.

If you know the structure of the python language then C++ should be easy. Since the structure of the 2 language are similar in a way.

C is the basic Language of all programming languages. Once you learn this you can easily understand the structure and flow of other languages like Java, PHP etc. Get a copy of "The C Programming Language (Second Edition)" by Kernighan and Ritchie.

I really agree with Jacob Adam. Yes, C is the basic programming language and if you can learn c++ also. You could learn about OOPS concept.
