Programs not showing on taskbar... (1 Viewer)

ive had this problem for a while now and i still cant fix it..
i have to alt-tab everything now and its getting quite annoying

any recommendations?

Interesting - could you provide a screenshot by any chance?

When this started happening, did you install/uninstall any software or hardware?

mm..ive had this problem for at least 3 months now.
i didnt install/remove before it happened. one day i just turned on my computer and no programs were showing up on the taskbar.

Hmm.. the only thing I can think of is turning off the quicklaunch bar since it may have 'maximised' to the length of the taskbar.

If that doesn't work, search through the taskbar rightclick menu - sometimes there's an option to deselect what kind of items you want to show up on the taskbar, and 'programs' may be one of them (I can't access the taskbar here from work so I'm going off memory - it may not be an XP feature)
