From success one the answer says:
Range= 221 m

if u got that answer, then ur working out should surely be correct.

y = 50sin30t - 4.9t^2

Make y = 0 for range

50sin30 - 4.9t = 0

t = 50sin30/4.9

x = 50tcos30

sub that value of t into x and youll get x = 221m

R = (u^2 sin2x)/g ?

I tried it but it doesnt work out.

I get acmilans method now, but just saw this formula and thought id give it a try.
