Im enrolled in a Barts/Science at Sydney. (5years)
Iv'e been offered Barts-Psychology at Maquarie. (3years)

I'm really not sure which one i want to do.

I definitely want to major in Psychology, but i also like
ancient history and humanity subjects in general.

Which university is better? Maquarie has a good rep for Psychology (even my doctor said), but is Sydney's rep in Psychology MUCH better, a little or not as good?
Also, same question but with Humanities. Is Sydney much better or on par.

I know Maquarie more and like it better. Its closer and the degree is shorter. But travel isn't the concern and i could always change to a B arts @ Sydney on second year and still major in Psychology...

...Help me, someone!!!
any helpful answers will be appreciated

Psychology at USYD is on the nose to those in the know.
UNSW is considered to have the best undergrad psych.
Also, all psych courses are really the same because they all have to meet the criteria of The Australian Psychological Society for accreditation. In the end, it won't matter which you do. You may get a couple of more choice of units at one uni, but they all still have to follow the course outline layed down by the Aus Psych Society who tell the unis what you must study if you wish to be registered as a Psychologist..
I think you'd be fine at MACQ. USYD has a bad rep in psych for years and years. Psych at Sydn has more enrolments in the first year than any other course, therefore it'll probably be rather overcrowded.

yeah around 1500 students in first year.. well that was last year anyways..

the lectures are repeated 3 times a day.. so its not crowded in the lecture room!!

for psychology, macquarie has a very good reputation (i've been told from various unbiased sources that it has the best reputation in nsw) .

Sydney has a wider range of arts subjects, however.

i don't think you could go wrong with either choice/university. If you want to major in psychology, why do you want to do arts/science?
I wanted to do mainly Psych and Math units for the B science bit and a variety of arts subjects for the B arts bit. But the more i think of it, that all could have been done in the B arts (just less variety in electives). 3 years as opposed to 5 years...
But psychology can only be majored as a second major in Barts. Which i guess is ok too...

Me so stressed out.
