Haven't taken any courses for psychology but here's the data from Times Higher Education.
UOW:
Rankings: =13th in Australia and 176–200th in the world
LSR: 89 (2024)
Location: Unless you live down that way it's kinda a trek to get to. At least 1.5 hrs each day to get there. However, if your classes are all online (not sure what psychology does) then this may be fine.
UTS:
Rankings: =15th in Australia and 201–250th in the world
LSR: 80 (2024)
Location: Right in the middle of the city. Probably one of the easiest unis to get to since it's literally 5 min walk from central station.
If your friend is ok with the long travel each day then UOW is suppossedly the better uni, but campus, friends and location are also other factors to consider.
