Depends on the culture of your workplace. It will vary between organisations and may even vary between divisions.

As Trebla mentioned both depend on the workplace but you would have gotten a pretty good idea based on your interview. It also depends on the type of job you have (e.g. professional, admin, etc) and your employment arrangement (i.e. full time, casual, part time). A good indicator is what your employment contract says about overtime outside of standard working hours if it's a full time position (e.g. my contract says from time to time I might need to work outside standard hours and my remuneration package already factors this in whereas I've seen other contracts which say if you need to work outside the standard hours you will be paid overtime rates but need to get sign-off or approval from the manager).
