quick explanation + two dumb questions
I created a thread in one of the syllabus areas and attached a file of relevant websites for members. I realised that I had used the wrong file so I went to edit and deleted the file. I now cannot re-attach the correct file to the post. What is going wrong?? And is there a way of fixing it?
(In hindsight, I know I should have just replaced the file but I also wanted to get rid of the original upload as it had a different filename..... you know, save some space etc....)
Plus, if/when I update the file, is it a pain to continually "replace" the file?? (is there like a limit to how many times a file can be replaced I guess is what Im asking)

Any help would be appreciated........

when u say u cannot re-attach the correct file to the post, do u mean to the entire thread, or just the one post u made where first attached the original file?

i think if u wanna have the ability to do that: just use some webspace, and link to that external webspace- in this way u can update how much times u want, and u won't b creating dead links. :)

Delete the post. Then post a new post with the right file. Simple. :p

I don't Mod that forum, unfortunately.

Can't you just go to the specific posts and:
Edit > Tick Box and Delete

That should work.
