is there a non-calculator section? for 2 and 3 unit?

Nope, you can use your calculator during the entire exam for any level of maths in the HSC.

There is a non-calculator section in the SC. Thankfully, it's probably the last time you'll experience one of these in an exam. :D

There's some questions in the 2u maths HSC that makes you prove theorems. But in 4u maths, there's a lot of proving questions :)

true up until the HSC, but if ur planning on doing Maths at uni (for most maths i think) topic tests will usualy be non-calculator tests (there not difficult though).

My prelim yearly consisted of half non-calculator and half-calculator, so i wasn't sure if that was the same in HSC, but thank God its not :)
