Hey,
I have to do this question for homework and im not entirely sure what the question is asking.

You have carried out first-hand investigations that have attempted to model biological concepts. Discuss the use and limitations of models when illustrating biological concepts. (4 marks).

So the models i could think of was that of the lock and key and induced fit of enzymes. Is that what the question is asking because i dont think you could carry out a first hand investigation to model it. Maybe its a model of the kidneys which is limited due to the fact that it doesnt give us a complete understanding of how they work etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

ok use of models:
- to observe biological processes more easily
- time factors (such as evolution)
- size factors (molecular level)
- simplfys complex processes

limitatons:
- oversimplfying can cause misconceptions
- relative time/scale may be represented

sorry its not fantastic but hope its a starting point :)
